Hello, Audience!

Why yes, I did just use Toby Turner's signature line for myself. Deal with it. Just kidding, or am I? Quick lesson in comedy for those who have no clue who Toby Turner is: he is the funniest YouTuber in existence. Well, in my opinion he is. I discovered him shortly after Portal 2 came out, having stumbled upon his video playthrough of the game, and I've been addicted ever since. If I'm ever having a shitty day, watching him fail at gaming usually cheers me up.

Anyway, I'm a day late on this blog due to the fact that I spent 90% of Sunday cleaning my room! I bet you're wondering how the hell it could take me all day to clean one measly room? Well, when you've got as much junk as I do, it can take a while to sort it all out and either toss it or store it. It doesn't help that I chose to rearrange a few things in my room...

Hello once again, my favourite little monsters! I'm literally posting this blog at the last possible second so can I get a round of applause? Yeah, that's right... bow to Queen Laufeyson.

I mean, uh... ah screw it, I'm a motherfucking Queen.

It is the beginning of another glorious week which means it's time to write up a new blog post! The past week has been a busy one with a lot of ups and downs and in-betweens. The Avengers was finally released on Friday, May 4th here in North America, though I had already seen it about a week prior, an old coworker got in touch with me for the first time in almost a year since I was fired from my old job, and I may or may not have updated my current OS!

There is so much to talk about today so let's jump right in and get to the good stuff.

Ahoy, ye brethren of the earth!

I, uh... don't know where that came from, to be honest but hello nonetheless! It is a lovely Sunday evening and, alas, I am sitting here at my iMac writing this lovely blog post for you. Why? Well, I've decided that Sunday will be my blogging day; a minimal one post per week with possible mini posts about nerdiness and what-have-you thrown in the middle. Probably not for a little while, though, due to the fact that said nerdiness is still in its very infant stages.

As you know, yesterday was my birthday! It was relatively uneventful, but it's what I expect now that I'm 23 and such a holiday isn't really celebrated anymore. I did, however, receive a delicious chocolate truffle cake from my Grandpa. It was a shared "gift" of sorts for both of us since his birthday is tomorrow! Other than nomming the fuck out of the cake, I spent my birthday with my boyfriend playing games and watching movies.

ONE OF WHICH WAS THE MOTHERFUCKING AVENGERS.

If your first thought upon reading that title was "Avengers spoilers" you are on the right track. Luckily for you, I'm not going to tell you what the spoilers contain because, no matter how much you think you truly want to know, you actually don't. Not because they'll turn you into an ex-Avengers fan but more so because they will completely remove all excitement for the movie from your heart.

You see, I'm the type of person who doesn't usually mind seeing spoilers. They're not a huge deal for me because I'm not the type of person to be overly excited to see a movie or television show. The Avengers is a whole different story though. Some of the fondest memories from my childhood involve Marvel and DC comics. I grew up with Batman, the Incredible Hulk, Spiderman, and the Invincible Iron Man. They put a smile on my face and brought out the dreamer in me. It were these beautiful memories that turned a 19 year old girl into a screaming fangirl when a movie based on my favorite superhero, Iron Man, was released. It's sequel brought out a reaction twice as enthusiastic.

Needless to say, when I found out Thor was being made I was ecstatic. At first I was 50/50 because, to be honest, I'm not a huge fan of Thor himself but the moment they announced Loki as the main villain, I was crying. Loki has, and always will be, my favorite villain. Why? I think that's a story best saved for another blog.

Ladies and gentlemen, Ambyham.com is 100% complete!

If you visited sometime this weekend, you probably noticed that a few pages were left empty by a very lazy girl. Fortunately, I got off my ass and completed everything that needed to be done.

Comments are working (and aren't too hideous, thankfully), the contact form is up and working, and my dorky little about section is full of random information about yours truly!

I don't know if I should be proud but I am.
